Bird Goddess

Remembering goddesses on the canals of Amsterdam. Bird-goddess is a goddess whose name we do not know. Small statues of her have been found, from the Indus Valley in India to Syria and Cyprus. She is a mystery but she represents age-old connections, exchanges between cultures and the close relationship between people and nature. Many other goddess stories have been lost with her. In this performance on the water, the stories and music of the goddesses are reconstructed, from goddesses from the Middle East and West Africa, but also Dutch goddesses such as Nehalennia.
