Queen of the Night

The Queen of the Night is furious. Dualism—the black-and-white, day-and-night, good-versus-evil thinking—has pushed her and all the creatures of the in-between worlds into the shadows of modern society. For centuries, the energy of that middle ground has been building up, brewing into a massive rage. Now, alongside her sisters, the goddesses of the night, she’s rising. Other goddesses banished to the dark—like the Egyptian Isis, the Indonesian Rangda, and the West African Oya—are fighting by her side to shatter these divides. They are demanding a new space, just like Rumi said: "Beyond ideas of wrong and right there is a field. I'll meet you there."
